Prism

The "Prism" works are part of the "PixCell" series, where I turn motifs collected from the Internet into sculptures.
Covering a transparent box (cell) containing a motif with prism sheets produces the alternating appearance and disappearance of images from perspectives that differ as the viewer’s actual viewpoint changes. In this way, the motif that ought to exist within the box (cell) loses its reality and drifts as a virtual image, homogenizing the feel of the motif and the sense of distance from it, diluting its meaning and even its symbolism.
